Tailored Coastal walk with a giant

Tailored Coastal walk with a giant

You will begin your experience at 7am and be driven to the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge via two Game of Thrones film locations at the Dark Hedges and Ballintoy harbour. We aim to be at the bridge for 9:30am and to guarantee your place, you should book tickets online on the following web site.

You collect your tickets for the Carrick-a-Rede bridge on arrival, where, if you are brave enough and the weather permits, you can cross over the bridge 100 feet above sea level to the small island of Carrick-a-Rede.

Throughout the trip your host will point out the seasonal flowers, fauna and explain the geology of the area, as well as the history and local folklore.

You will then travel to Dunseverick Castle where your host will take you back in time to the 5th century and you will have the pleasure of walking along a 5 mile stretch of an area of outstanding scenery.

The walk will culminate at the Giants Causeway, an UNESCO world Heritage Site and a National Nature Reserve. Your guide will talk about Ireland’s giant hero, Finn McCool following which you will have to time to explore this natural wonder of the World at your leisure.

Following the Giants Causeway, you will have time for a late lunch at the Causeway hotel or the Nook, situated at the Causeway.

Your day will culminate in a two and half hour drive back to Belfast along the East Coast an area of outstanding Natural Beauty where you will be wowed by the views around every corner. You will have the opportunity to stop at any stage to take pictures along the way.

We look forward to having you on the trip and giving you an experience you simply won’t forget. Please feel free to read the reviews to see what other guests thought about their experience.

Fun info about where to eat and things to do on your stay

Here are some details of places to eat in Belfast and places to go. My favourite restaurant at the minute is the Bo tree Thai restaurant. It’s bring your own and cheap. Food is amazing.
It’s closed on Sunday though.

A great Indian restaurant which is a cheap place to eat, is:
Kathmandu Indian.

If you like Chinese the 3levels is lovely

If you fancy something a bit special and not cheap Shu and Graze are great

Places to go.
Ulster museum in Belfast. Closes at 5pm

Fibber McGees bar is great for some craic and has traditional music. The Perch roof top bar is great as is the Bullit.

Also Deans Love fish. Also closed on Sunday.  but you may get these another day. I think the Bo Tree is also closed on Monday. they have another Restaurant which is great for a sunny day, called Deanes of Queens.

The open bus hop on hop off tours are also worth a try.
Hope that helps make your stay amazing.
